Yomuchu has a new version available, offering a different reading experience for anyone who enjoys manga, comics, and other illustrated stories on their computer!

For those who haven't heard of it yet, Yomuchu is a free, open-source reader that turns your images into an interactive virtual book, which can even float right on your desktop.

The idea is to bring a little of the feeling of reading a real book to your computer. Pages feature 3D animations, realistic curves, shadows, and even paper sounds. You can turn them with your mouse, dragging their corners just like you would with a physical book.

The program also includes a library to organize your collections, automatically remembers where you stopped reading, and supports double-page spreads, zoom, and different reading directions for both Japanese manga and Western comics.

Recent versions have also introduced more customization options, including light and dark themes, different background colors, an aged-paper effect, and support for 18 languages.

You can open chapters directly from folders on your computer or import pages from compatible links, subject to each website's limitations and permissions.

Yomuchu is currently available for Windows and Linux.

The goal behind Yomuchu is simple: to make digital reading a little more enjoyable, comfortable, and closer to the experience of flipping through a real book. ❤️

If you enjoy manga, comic books, or simply want to try a different way of reading on your computer, feel free to give Yomuchu a try!
